It's Opening Day for baseball fanatics!

Woot! Woot!

I love baseball. I love the Kansas City Royals. I am an eternal fan, and yet - I am a realistic fan.

I had to laugh this morning when I read a column in our local newspaper, The Kansas City Star. This is the quote:

"Call us crazy optimists — and we’ve been called worse — but the Kansas City Royals might just win the American League Central Division title this year."

Bwahahahaha.....!

I looked at the date on the paper to make sure that it wasn't April 1st - as in April Fool's Day.

Again...bwahahahahaha!

I'd like to hope that the Royals have a chance...but as I said, I'm a realist. And as much as I enjoy going out to the "K" (our stadium), and taking in a great game of baseball...I know that the Royals will probably finish this season where they have finished for the last five years - dead last.

However - I hope - come October - that I'm eating these words.

We shall see.

In the meantime, PLAY BALL!
